Who We Are

We exist to be the airframe engineering team that programmes turn to when the technical stakes are highest — covering every discipline, every phase, from first concept through to in-service life.

Why DCE Exists

Founded · February 2021

Airframe engineering expertise of genuine depth — across loads, aeroelasticity, structural analysis, dynamics, and certification, from concept through to in-service — is not easy to find. It is even harder to find assembled in one place, at the level that demanding programmes require. DCE Dynamics was built to be exactly that: a team of airframe specialists who cover the full technical range, not a narrow slice of it, and who have done so at chief and principal level on real, high-stakes programmes.

When you work with DCE, you work directly with the engineers doing the analysis. There are no account managers, no project management layers, no overhead costs that have nothing to do with the work itself. We are lean by design — AI-assisted processes and toolsets mean we spend our time on engineering, not administration. Every resource we deploy goes toward your programme.

We understand the physics before we run the models. The analysis is a means to an end — that end is a clear, defensible answer to a real engineering question. We never deliver a result we cannot explain, and we never settle for the minimum that a customer will accept. Our reputation is built on what we actually produce, not on what we promise.

What makes DCE different

Most consultancies offer a service line. DCE offers the full airframe engineering picture — every discipline, every programme phase — delivered by engineers who have led these disciplines on programmes ranging from civil certification to novel eVTOL to 5th generation fighters. We know where our expertise ends and we stay within it. You deal directly with the people doing the work. No salesmanship, no negotiation, no hidden agenda. Just engineering.

The Team Behind the Work

Founder
Deniz Can Erdayi, Ph.D.
Founder & Chief Engineer

With over two decades of experience at chief and principal engineer level, Deniz is one of the most complete airframe engineers working in European aerospace. His career spans the full technical range — loads, aeroelasticity, structural analysis, structural dynamics, airframe-level model integration, testing and verification & validation, certification, and simulation automation — across programmes of extraordinary breadth and complexity: civil certification programmes, novel eVTOL aircraft delivered from initial concept through to EASA approval, and some of the most demanding military platforms in Europe and Turkey.

From the earliest years of Turkey's modern aerospace industry, Deniz was part of the teams that built it — developing engineering teams, defining analysis processes and methods, and contributing architectural decisions on novel aircraft that did not have the luxury of legacy data or established regulatory frameworks. He has led and worked within multinational teams and programmes across Europe, and has mentored and shaped the careers of tens of engineers who are now senior figures in the industry.

Beyond individual programmes, Deniz has served on technical steering committees and CEO advisory boards, influencing the strategic and technical direction of organisations and multi-billion-dollar programmes well beyond his direct engineering role. He holds a Ph.D. in Computational Mechanics with research in fluid-structure interaction from Middle East Technical University (METU).

Executive
Prof. Dr. Hayri Yılmaz Kaptan
Chief Executive Officer

Yılmaz has spent his career building and leading complex technical and operational organisations at the highest level. As Dean of Engineering at multiple Turkish universities — including Hacettepe, Zonguldak BEÜ, and İstanbul Kemerburgaz — and as Vice Rector at Atılım University, he has held executive responsibility for institutions with hundreds of academic staff, large research programmes, and significant operational infrastructure.

Among the most operationally demanding of those responsibilities was the management of a university-operated flight academy — encompassing flight and ground operations, airworthiness and regulatory compliance, maintenance management, crew training, and the full range of functions that govern the safe operation of an aviation organisation. Alongside this, he has directed multiple centres of technical excellence spanning engineering research, applied science, and technology transfer.

He currently directs the pre-incubation centre at Başkent University, supporting early-stage technology ventures from research to commercial readiness. At DCE, Yılmaz leads the organisation, its partnerships, and its institutional strategy — ensuring that the firm's engineering capabilities translate into programmes and relationships built to last.

DCE's in-house team includes principal, senior, and mid-level engineers across loads, aeroelasticity, structural analysis, dynamics, and certification — all working directly on programme deliverables. There are no layers between the client and the engineers doing the work.

For programmes requiring broader capability, DCE works with a carefully selected network of specialist partner organisations: a system-level and overall certification consultancy with FAA DER-qualified signatories; a structural testing laboratory for full-scale and component test campaigns; a structural repair and modification specialist with approved design organisation credentials; and a CAD, detailed design, and FEM production team for high-volume modelling and draughting work. These partnerships extend the programme capability DCE can offer without compromising the quality or accountability at the centre of every engagement.
